Late Night City garden

Late City garden
is the title I picked mostly because I took this photo with only the city lights as a light source.

The low light turned out to be a good thing and enhanced the color of the tulips.

Northglen Webster Lake Temporary Escape from Winter

Northglen Webster Lake Adventure

It was a warm winter day.  At least in the 80’s.  We took advantage of the warm weather and headed over to Northglen Webster Lake in CO.  A small park with a lake and at least three acres of trails.  Along the trail there were picnic tables, flowerbeds and trees.  Spent most of the time watching my grandaughter play in the playground.  It was a picture perfect day.

Ducks in Webster lake
Caught these guys swimming around and lounging in the water. A rare site for me being from NYC and I really enjoyed taking in the sites at Northglen Webster Lake

And of course!! My Beautiful grandaughter and her cute innocent stare.  Gave me a hard time to get this shot but then when she saw the camera it was as if the little model inside turned on and she posed like she was a rock star.

Rock Climbing in Vegas. Red Rock Canyon

Red Rock Canyon Rock Climbing

Ok Let me make it clear I was not rock climbing in Vegas.  I was to busy trying to stay steady on my feet while holding my camera to get these shot.  Maybe if I was younger but no way not now.  Despite my shaky hands managed to snap a few good shots of some young people climbing and hiking in Red Rock Canyon.

Red Rock Canyon Rock Climbing in Vegas

Brave young souls and they made it look so easy. So glad I got to see it. Don’t know when I will be back but so glad I got to capture the moment.

Red Rock Canyon was just a few minutes from the strip and it was quite the adventure. The morning can start out cold and change to really hot mid day. We did not venture to far from our car only because we did not know about where we were. We will definitely head out to Red Rock Canyon next time we are there and maybe we will do some rock climbing of our own. OK maybe just a very tiny tiny rock.

Urban Kitchen Street Art In Ozone Park.

Walking around Ozone Park, Queens where I live and I could no longer resist.  I passed this art many many times in my local travels and I always have to stop and every time I look I see something different. I snapped this photo on Atlantic Avenue with my cell phone.  There is a beautiful big Muriel that runs along side most of the building.  Featured in this photo is Cap’n Crunch swimming in alphabet cereal.  Mrs Butter Worth standing over the bowl of cereal holding a spoon looking like she is about to attack the cereal.  Next the the Cereal is a Pack of Newports.

There is allot going on in this pic.  I just love how the artist put it all together.  If you are ever in the neighborhood check it out it is much bigger than the shot here.  I am just happy I captured it despite the bright sun that made it impossible to get the rest.  This Urban Art is truly a masterpiece and it brings a little more brightness to Ozone Park.

Below is another pic I snapped from the same art display.

And Last is the biggest cupcake you ever did see.  Cupcake anyone?  Yum.

Las Vegas Mandalay Bay

Took this picture straight from my balcony window while vacationing in Las Vegas.  From where I was sitting it looked almost as if the plane was heading straight for the Hotel.  Of course that is just what it looked like.  The airport is close to the Las Vegas Strip and that was just the normal air traffic back and forth.  I was amazed that we could be so close and that the noise from the planes was never a bother.

It took me quite a few tries to line up the plane in my camera to get this shot. I have even been accused of photo-shopping the plane into the photo.  While I do use photo-shop and have become real good at it I am not that good.

Below is a Picture that I photo-shopped.  I also got that pic from the same balcony but the plane and the view were taken at different times.

Honest Couponing

I am a strong advocate of Honest Couponing.  If we all are honest and follow the rules of the coupons and the merchants who accept them it can only lead to a better experience and greater savings for us all.

Unfortunately there are people out there who do no follow the rules and try to cash in on scams.  If you come across an individual who you suspect do not confront them but if you feel you must do something inform the manager in a respectful and subtle manner.
